Savusavu offers a full range of things to do during your stay,
Scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling, mountain biking, swimming, golf, tennis, day and sunset sailing, deep sea fishing, trekking, easy hikes to waterfalls, rainforests & streams will satisfy the active visitor. There are less strenuous activities that include visits to a neighboring village, shopping in town for fabrics and handicrafts, a trip to the open air market, sampling some of the local restaurants or just reading in a hammock by the sea.

For a shopping trip into town, taxis are only a phone call away. Rental cars are also available for exploring more of the island at your own pace. For the budget conscious, or those who just like to “go it on their own”, buses from Savusavu will take you from town over the mountains to Labasa or up the coastal road heading east to Buca Bay. Viewing the scenery while rumbling along in an open air bus is a day’s adventure, just be sure to ask the driver what time the bus returns to Savusavu.
Dining
There are a number of restaurants in town offering Chinese, Indian curries, island-style and mixed continental menus.
You can grab a pizza or sandwich at the Captain’s Café in the Copra Shed and sit on the dock overlooking the harbor. For a special dinner out, dine at Savusavu's finest restaurants, Captain's Table or Surf ‘n Turf, both overlooking the picturesque Savusavu Harbor. Nightlife in Savusavu tends to be on the quiet side.
The Savusavu Yacht Club & Wai Tui Marina
The Savusavu Yacht Club at the Copra Shed Marina and the Hot Springs Hotel deck overlooking Savusavu Bay are gathering places for locals and visitors alike with Friday nights being especially lively with music from a local Fijian combo.
Savusavu is an international port of call for cruising yachts from around the world. During the peak sailing season, May – October, there will be as many as 50 colorful sailboats moored in Savusavu Harbor.
The Savusavu Yacht Club hosts various sailing regattas throughout the year including Optimist dinghy sailing events for the kids, cruising rallies and the 2003 Fiji President’s Cup. And, if you’re lucky, you’ll be there for one of their delicious specialty dinner fundraiser's for the kid’s sailing team.

A visit to Fiji would not be complete without a visit to our neighboring village of Vunivesi to meet the friendly people and watch their children perform many of their traditional songs and dances called “meke.” Your donation for their performance goes entirely towards school fees for all the children involved.
